Tourism stakeholders strengthen ties at meeting of the Network Group Sustainable Tourism

In April, the trilateral Network Group Sustainable Tourism (NG-ST) held its annual meeting on Spiekeroog, thereby continuing its established international exchange. Representatives from national park authorities, regional DMOs in Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands and the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat discussed current issues related to trilateral cooperation and strengthened their personal ties. The meeting underscores the importance of coordinated cooperation for the sustainable development of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site.

Representatives of Visit Wadden, Nordsee-Tourismus-Service GmbH, Tourismus-Agentur Nordsee GmbH (TANO), and Nationalpark Vadehavet used the occasion to kick off their joint campaign “Breakfast on the Dike”: This year on 27 June, in celebration of the Wadden Sea’s anniversary as World Heritage Site, breakfast events are organised for the first time in all regions along the coast.
